Buddy- Pitbull/ Lab Mix
Buddy was Save A Death Row Doggies first rescue guy. I rescued him from a high kill shelter in Hartford, CT on his last day. He was underweight when I first got him. He is a genuine sweetheart and loved all other animals and people right away. He knows his basic commands and is very well behaved so someone at one time had to have loved him. He was adopted out less than a week after his rescue to a man in Burlington where he now lives in harmony with his new daddy and his "brother" a rat named Bing.
Zeus- Weimaraner/ Pit Bull Mix
Zeus was saved on his last day at the Hartford, CT pound. He was Save A Death Row Doggie's second save. Romeo - Pit Bull/Basset Hound Mix
Romeo was abandoned on a porch and ended up in the high-kill pound in Hartford, CT. Luckily we were able to rescue him on his last day. Romeo's foster parents could not believe that anyone could leave a dog like him because he is such a love (and thus how he got his name). He just loved everyone and everything and was a joy to foster. Romeo found his furever home in just a week, and is now living with his new brothers Riley and Shier in Montpelier!! He is going to be working on becoming a therapy dog, which we know he will excel at because there is nothing he loves more than to be pet by everyone around him!!

Kylah - Pit/Corgi Mix
Kylah (center) was adopted from Hartford, CT, but did not fit in with her new family, so Save a Death Row Doggie was called in to help. Kylah was abused (she has some deep scars on her neck) and she was scared of people when she first got to Vermont. She really bonded with her foster parents and was really coming out of her shell, so once she was ready to be adopted, her foster parents realized how bonded they were to her!! So they are keeping her as a permanent member of the family!! She just loves her new sister, Mira (left) and cat brother, Harley (right)!

Angel- Staffordshire Terrier
Angel was rescued from CT her last day by Save A Death Row Doggie. She was found used as a bait dog in pit fighting. When she first came to us she had open wounds and bruising on her face. She LOVES people so much despite that they wronged her so much by getting her involved in fighting. She had issues with some other dogs due to her background so it took her a little longer to find the perfect home. After a whole year and a month Angel finally found her family she was meant to be with. She is very spoiled in her new home and is very loved. We love you Angel and are so happy you have found such a wonderful family!

He is now living with a wonderful new family and getting as much exercise as he could ever want. Way to go Memphis! Enjoy your new life :)
We pulled Shadow his last day from a kill shelter in NYC. We chose Shadow because many black cats do not make it of euth lists because of superstition. Shadow was originally adopted to an older woman when he was pulled. Half a year later the woman contacted us and said Shadow was not working out because he tried to eat her bird. We gladly took him back. My parents who had adopted a cat from KY from us (Kiara) last year and have been active cat fosters took him in. During his time at their home he became very attached to my father so they decided it was in everyone best interest for him just to stay! Shadow now spends his days relaxing on the porch, hanging with his fellow cat siblings Kiara, Princeton and Sunshine and loving his family
Nala- Blue Nose Pit
Nala was pulled with her father, mother and two siblings. She came from CA and was part of the furthest pull Save A Death Row Doggie has ever done. Nala was adopted by the creator of Save A Death Row Doggie Rescue and spends her days with her best pal Hennessey (another blue nose pit), enjoying VT and teaching people that Pit Bulls are very sweet dogs.
